HLBS Law Sponsors DDRC Golf Tournament Supporting Individuals With Disabilities

Broomfield, Colorado – October 02, 2026 – PRESSADVANTAGE –

HLBS Law, a legal firm serving professionals in the securities industry nationwide, participated as a sponsor of the 2026 Golf Tournament hosted by the Developmental Disabilities Resource Center (DDRC) at the Hiwan Golf Club in Evergreen, Colorado. The event took place on August 10, 2026, and raised funds for programs that support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The tournament, themed around Route 66, offered participants a full day of activities that included 18 holes of golf, a complimentary breakfast, on-the-green games, a golfer gift, and a post-tournament meal. Participation options ranged from individual entries to foursome packages, all of which sold out ahead of the event.

The DDRC has organized the golf tournament for more than two decades, generating funds that support the more than 1,000 families served by the organization. The prior year’s event, themed Rock n’ Roll, raised over $65,000 for DDRC programs. In addition to golf, the tournament featured an online auction that ran through the day of the event, with items that included Colorado getaways, signed Rockies and Avalanche memorabilia, gift packages, and unique experiences.

Owen Harnett, a member of the management team at HLBS Law, described the firm’s decision to take part in the event. “The firm wanted to contribute something to the local community, and supporting individuals with disabilities is always a worthwhile cause,” Harnett said. “After being invited to participate, the team joined as a sponsor without hesitation. The DDRC has hosted this golf tournament for more than 20 years and has raised valuable funds that support more than 1,000 families the organization serves.”

Harnett noted that the firm views community involvement as an extension of its work with clients. “Contributing to an event with such a long history of service to Colorado families reflects the values the firm brings to every relationship,” he said.

The DDRC provides services and resources to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. The organization offers ways for members of the community to get involved, including volunteering, bidding on auction items, donating in lieu of attendance, and becoming a sponsor. Proceeds from the annual tournament help fund programs that assist the individuals and families the center supports throughout the region.
