Fortieth-anniversary release adds Multi-Level Undo, one-click reporting, dependency-chain filtering, and a new online license portal.
STERLING, VA, UNITED STATES, September 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
AEC Software Releases FastTrack Schedule 2026 with Multi-Level Undo, Cloud-Managed Team Licensing, and Native Apple Silicon and Windows 11 ARM64 Support
Fortieth-anniversary release rebuilds the project management platform used by organizations of all sizes, from the Global 500 to small businesses, for today’s Macs and PCs, adding one-click reporting, dependency-chain filtering, and a new online license portal.
STERLING, Va., September 14, 2026 — AEC Software, Inc., publisher of FastTrack Schedule, today announced that FastTrack Schedule 2026, a major new version of its project management and scheduling platform for Windows and Mac, is now generally available. The release is the most substantial update in the product’s recent history, pairing a fully modernized 64-bit foundation on both platforms with a set of features drawn directly from long-standing customer requests.
FastTrack Schedule 2026 runs as a 64-bit Universal binary on macOS, native to both Intel and Apple silicon from M1 through M5, and supports macOS 14 Sonoma through macOS 26 Tahoe, and is ready for the new macOS 27 Golden Gate. On Windows, the application is a native 64-bit build supporting Windows 10, Windows 11, and Windows 11 on ARM64. Schedules remain fully cross-platform, so a project file can move between Mac and Windows without conversion.
Among the most requested additions is Multi-Level Undo, which allows users to step back through many recent edits rather than only the last one. The release also introduces Filter by Task Predecessors and Successors, which isolates a task’s complete chain of dependencies in a single step — a common need when assessing the downstream impact of a change on a large schedule. Up to 10 baselines support progress tracking and what-if analysis against multiple saved versions of a plan.
For teams, FastTrack Schedule 2026 adds Multi-User Licensing with cloud-managed floating and assigned seats, administered through a new online license portal. The portal is designed to simplify deployment and seat management for organizations running the software across departments, replacing manual license handling with centralized administration.
The release also expands interoperability and readability. Microsoft Project files from Project 2019 through 2024 can be imported directly, with no Java installation required — removing a long-standing dependency. Visual improvements include a redesigned Gantt chart, full Dark Mode support, additional color themes, HD color and High DPI support, an enhanced Critical Path display, a non-working-time indicator on bars, and AutoFit+ for automatic row and column sizing. One-click reporting produces formatted project reports and PDF output without a separate export step. On macOS, the release adds iCloud document management with revision history and Finder Tags integration.
“Our customers have been planning some of the most demanding projects in the world with FastTrack Schedule for four decades,” said Dennis Bilowus, Chief Executive Officer of AEC Software. “This release reflects what they asked us for: a modern foundation on the hardware they actually use today, and the practical features — multi-level undo, dependency filtering, one-click reporting — that remove friction from the work they do every day.”
AEC Software has developed FastTrack Schedule since 1985. The software is used by project teams in construction, engineering, aerospace, government, education, manufacturing, and IT, at organizations ranging from the Global 500 to small businesses.
